After a few uncertain days we can now confirm that both Duchess of Sutherland and Tornado are on their way to the Westcountry to prepare for Sunday’s Royal Duchy and Torbay Express trips. We are very grateful to our friends at Railcam for allowing us to use these shots taken from their Slough cameras today. First past was Duchess of Sutherland this morning while Tornado came past at lunchtime.

There was doubt over the gauging for Duchess of Sutherland and then on Thursday, Tornado suffered a failure which delayed it’s departure until today.

We will of course be showing both tours live on our cameras and although at this stage we can not promise, we do hope that Neil will be able to get out with the Mobile camera at some stage. Keep a close eye out for any information. If as yet you don’t have a full subscription to the cameras then why not treat yourself now? we have various timescales and levels to suit everyone and we even have a free trial. Don’t forget that Mount Pleasant Camera is completely free to watch.

If you have any photo’s or video’s of either locomotive taken today then please do share them with us. As for tomorrow? well lets see if we can get a huge post from all the DB’ers material. Either post to Facebook or email them to me at simon@dawlishbeach.com if your video is too large then try using we transfer. Many thanks in advance.
