Running a little over an hour early the light engine move from Bridgwater to Devonport Dockyard brought DRS locos 66431& 66302 along the sea walls of Dawlish and Teignmouth during one of the sunnier breaks between the rain showers though accompanied by a bitterly cold wind. I bet it was a bit warmer in the driving cab for the working party than it was out on the wall!

The waves were still splashing over the sea wall in places at Dawlish even though the tide was ebbing at the time the loco’s passed. Walkers beware!

Meanwhile Nick Campbell was getting blown about as he recorded the loco’s passing at the Teignmouth end of the sea wall just along the coast.
