Colas 70815, one of the last batch to arrive in the UK, put in it’s first appearance on the sea wall with today’s Aberthaw to Lafarge Moorswater service with 11 cement tanks, a smaller load than the normal twenty or so. Colas Rail Freight have now received their complete order from General Electric in Pennsylvania USA  and now have a total of 17 Class 70 locomotives in the UK. As expected it was in immaculate pristine condition. Unfortunately the weather this morning was dull with drizzly rain but will hopefully be better tomorrow when the empty tanks will be passing through on their return journey to South Wales.

Nick Campbell  took his video today from the heights of the skew bridge which crosses the railway at the end of the sea wall at Teignmouth.
