Nick Campbell was out again late in the evening and again early this morning at Teignmouth station to record firstly Colas 37099 propelling the National Rail test train en route to Penzance and then the early running cement train to Moorswater with Colas 70810 at the head. Both will return tomorrow (Thursday 18th), the test train at about 4.30am and the empty cement train now booked to pass Dawlish at 3.59pm. The 37 is named “Merl Evans 1947-2016” who was the chief designer of Bachmann model trains which included many of the variations in the Class 37 locomotives.
