Colas 66847 top and tailing five autoballaster wagons with 66850 “David Maidment OBE” bringing up the rear passed along the Dawlish and Teignmouth sea walls 94 minutes early tonight en route for Falmouth Docks.

Nick photographed and took a video them as they approached Teignmouth at the end of the sea wall. In the left background is Sprey point and in the distance on the right are the Parson and Clerk Rocks. The smaller Clerk rock lost its “head” some years ago in a storm and it looks as if it could lose the “body” in the not too distant future!

Below are the empty autoballasters returning to Westbury with 66850 leading through Teignmouth station at 7.50am Thursday 18th May 2017
