A surprise today was the change of working pattern for the clay train.Normally it passes Dawlish just after 5pm on a Thursday. After leaving the part load at Exeter Riverside sidings the locomotive returns to St. Blazey around 6.30pm and then returns with the other half load around 1am †and links the two halves together before setting off for the West Midlands. Today however the first load passed at 1.25pm and the locomotive DB Cargo red livery 66085 returned light engine passing Dawlish at 2.03pm en route back to St. Blazey and brought the second part of the load back through Dawlish at 18.35pm.

The video footage below records some of the clay train movements and also the return run with the cement empty tanks with Colas 70806 in charge.
