Today Thursday 24th August saw the weekly clay train back working to its normal timetable and passed through Dawlish at 5.31pm with the first part of its service from St. Blazey to Exeter Riverside. First we see it passing through Teignmouth at speed and then passing the Dawlishbeach’s own Blenheim and San Remo cameras at Dawlish. Just over an hour later the locomotive passed again running light engine back to St. Blazey to collect the 2nd half of its load. The trainload has to come in two sections as the full load would be over the allowed weight for a single locomotive to traverse over the Dartmoor inclines. The regular cement train did not run this week which often seems to occur around a Bank Holiday.

Unfortunately there are no steam or diesel special trains along the sea wall this weekend.
