The Dartmouth Express tour started at Woking and was diesel hauled as far as Bristol Temple Meads where the LMS Black 5 number 45212 took over for the run down to Kingswear.

By the time she got to Exeter she was 52 minutes late, but after a quick stop and passing straight through Dawlish Warren, she whistled past the cameras 35 late and arrived at Kingswear just 16 minutes down. On the return the change back to diesel power was at Fairwater Yard Taunton which is just south of the station.

The loco is being stabled at Bishops Lydeard overnight on the West somerset Railway ahead of Sunday’s Cathedrals Express tour. We really went to a new level with collecting footage this time. Not only does the video contain our usual view from San Remo and Blenheim cameras, but contributions from Colin and Nick Campbell covering their normal areas,

Neil was out at Coombe Cellars with a drone pilot on the far bank of the Teign to get a fantastic view of the train travelling up and down the river. We hope you enjoy everyone’s effort for the video.
