Two Freightliner 66’s top and tailed an extremely lengthy infrastructure High Output Ballast Cleaner (HOBC)  train  from the Fairwater Yard at Taunton to Newton Abbot. The rear loco was 66593 which has the not very romantic name of “3MG Mersey Multimodal Gateway”. The estimated weight of the train was 2600 tonnes and consisted of 40 ballast wagons plus the actual track and sleeper replacement units.  It’s working area is between Newton Abbot and Teignmouth and it is expected to be back again tonight and tomorrow evening  at 10.09pm through Dawlish.
