Oh we do like to be beside the seaside………but not on a day like today. A bit of a double whammy for the passengers aboard as the steam engine they would have liked to pull them had been sidelined by illness and after weeks of sunny days the weather has turned to wind and rain just at the time of their excursion. The next steam special is in three weeks time on August 19th when hopefully the weather will be better and Clan Line will be back in business on another Torbay Express. The video below starts as the train approaches the Rockstone (or Black bridge) and then turns to the San Remo camera. I couldn’t use the footage from tthe Blenheim as the rain was obscuring the view too much but at Teignmouth it was nice to hear the EWS locomotive 66037 powering up as it passed through the station.
