Today ROG Class 37 37611 “Pegasus” came along the sea wall with two barrier coaches from Castle Donington (nr Nottingham) going to Laira depot at Plymouth. The Barrier coaches are to overcome the difficulty of HST coaches having a different form of coupling to the locomotive. Unfortunately the return to Ely in Cambridgeshire with a set of Mk3 HST coaches occurs in darkness in the early morning. The video shows the returning empty cement tanks with Colas 70815 in charge. Apologies for the abrupt cut off of the video when my tripod got stuck!!! Next along was a pair of back to back HST’s 43137 and 43192 going to St Phillips Marsh depot at Bristol. On the down line comes a Cross Country HST and then the ROG train. Nick recorded the pair of HST’s through Teignmouth station and lastly the ROG at the end of Teignmouth sea wall. All in all a busy 25 minutes of action as there were also three local DMU’s passing within this time.
