Colas 70810 passed through at 10.45 am with the empty PCA cement tanks that it had delivered full the day before to the Tarmac works at Moorswater Nr Liskeard. In an unusual move the weekly clay train from St Blazey brought down the first part of the consignment yesterday afternoon and returned to St. Blazey to bring the remainder of the load today, in this case just two JIA wagons. The locomotive was DB Cargo 66020 in their red livery and it will be taking the completed cargo up to the West Midlands in the very early morning.
Teignmouth station is hemmed in by road bridges at each end , the station footbridge and the generously sized platform awnings. When a heavy freight train passes through at speed the cacophony of noise and the wind tunnel they create are quite an experience!
