Rail Operations Group Loco 47815 “Lost Boys”  came down yesterday to Laira from Leicester to perform the movement of seven HST Mk3 coaches to the storage facility at Papworth Yard at Ely in Cambridgeshire. A couple of weeks ago 47813 “Jack Frost” suffered an electrical failure  at Totnes when performing a similar task and has being repaired at Laira depot in the meantime. Today 47813 was the lead loco for the journey up to Ely and was videoed by Nick as it passed through Teignmouth station and it looked and sounded to be in tip top condition.

Don’t forget tomorrow Saturday 8th June the sight of the LNER streamlined A4 60009 Union of South Africa passing along the sea wall. This locomotive is the same class as Mallard which still holds the World Record for steam of 126 mph. Hopefully the weather will be a lot better than today!
