On Sunday 22nd December 2019 Colas sent a locomotive from Doncaster to Par in order to collect a Railvac machine from Fowey Docks the next morning and deliver it to Bescot Yard near Birmingham. The locomotive gained the nameplate “Robin of Templecombe 1938 – 2013” after its previous holder 47739 left the Colas loco pool and went to GBRf. The nameplate was in remembrance of Driver Robin Gould who had completed 55 years of railway employment before retirement. He had started his career on the Somerset & Dorset Railway as an engine cleaner in 1954 and worked his way up the promotion ladder. On the demise of the S&D he transferred to Westbury where on all accounts he was a most kind and popular respected gentleman.
