Testimonials from around the world

David, Exeter, UK

I would like to say how much I am enjoying the Dawlish Beach Camera. I am disabled and spend a lot of time in bed. Watching the pictures from the webcam on the 50in smart TV in the bedroom has really raised my spirits. I also watch the Live train tracker on another laptop or ipad. This makes it so interesting. Also the sound of the sea and gulls and of course the trains is like being in a hotel by the sea. Lovely!!

Bob, Canada

I discovered your Blenheim web cam a few years ago and I’m drawn to watch it whenever I can from here in Kamloops, BC. The train movements, the ocean, and the natural beauty of the area keeps me mesmerized, resulting in my 3 day stay earlier this year. We spend a lot of money in your little community and, no doubt, will return. Dawlish has a charm that few places have….I hope re-development doesn’t happen to change the area..

Thanks for producing such great videos. From time to time I may pop in to see more footage in and around Dawlish.

The pure fantastic scenery. Plus the beauty of Dawlish and Devon

I look at these cams everyday ,
it’s just lovely to look out at the sea and to see how the weather’s doing and it’s just enjoyable and relaxing.

Ben, UK

Love seeing what the weather is doing especially with the tide and as an added bonus get to watch the trains go past too. Excellent video streaming quality. Keep up the good work all

The Birth of Dawlish Beach

In 2003 after retiring, my parents moved from the Midlands and as they wanted to be by the sea and the railway, Dawlish was top of the list.

My Dad had worked on the railways for as long as I could remember, In fact, one of my first memories is going to work with my Dad to a signal box (possibly Basingstoke) and helping him pull the signal levers.

In 2001 my Dad was a tour guide for Great Rail Journeys and loved doing this until he was taken ill in 2008.
